Anti-Bias, Implicit Bias and Microaggression Learning Session
May 20 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Madison Middle School PTSA, in partnership with the PTSA Racial Equity Team, welcomes Anita Morales, co-founder and facilitator of Racing to Equity, who will lead an Anti-Bias, Implicit Bias and Microaggression Learning Session for current and future Madison Middle School families.
In this adult-focused, interactive learning opportunity, we will: explore the science behind implicit bias, reflect on the assumptions we hold, practice ways of interrupting microaggressions and develop intentional practices as citizens centered on racial equity. After this session, you will better recognize when implicit bias is in control and be able to recover more quickly when your current beliefs are betrayed by your implicit bias.
We welcome all Madison MS parents, caregivers and educators, as well as from all Madison feeder schools. We hope to see you there!
