Welcome Bulldogs to the 2019-2020 School Year!

Our first day of school is Wednesday, September 4.  School begins promptly at 8:55am and the last bell rings at 3:45pm.  Doors open at 8:15am.

The dimensions of our school lockers are as follows: 10” W x 34” H x 13” D.  Please bring only supplies and backpacks that will fit into the lockers. 

Start Time

Madison’s bell schedule for the 2019-20 school year is 8:55-3:45. The first bell will ring at 8:50 with class beginning promptly at 8:55 a.m.  School will be dismissed at 3:45 p.m. 

Middle School sports begin soon!  Madison offers Girls Soccer and Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee in the Fall. Boys and Girls Basketball in the Winter; and Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer and Co-ed Track in the Spring.  All athletes must have a current Seattle Public School completed sports physical form and release on file at school before turning out for sports.  Pick up a sports physical form in the main office or visit seattleschools.org/departments/athletics or madison@seattleschools.org website. 

Orientation

6th Grade Orientation – Tuesday, September 3,    8am-1pm in the Gym

7th & 8th graders NEW to MadisonTuesday, September 3, 1-2 pm in the Commons

Orientation includes a welcome assembly, school tour, small team building groups with their year-long WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) leaders, introductions to advisory teachers and individual locker assignments.  This event is for students only.  Parents and guardians may drop off students at the gym in the south parking lot.

If 6th grade students are unable to join us for orientation on Tuesday, schedules and lockers will be distributed and assigned in the morning on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 4, in the library beginning at 8:25am.

Upcoming Dates

Picture Day: Thursday, September 19.  Re-take day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13.

Curriculum Night: Wednesday, September 25    6:30-8:00pmAll parents and guardians are welcome to attend.  The purpose of this evening is to provide all parents and guardians with an overview of their student’s day, meet teachers in their classrooms and learn about the curriculum and general expectations of each grade level.  This is a parent and guardian only event.
