The 6th grade orientation will be on Tuesday, September 4th in the Madison Gym from 8:00am to 1:00pm. This is an exciting day for incoming 6th graders, so Madison really hopes all students can attend. Some of the highlights of this orientation for your student include:
· “Welcome to Middle School” assembly and school tours
· Small group team building with their year-long 8th grade WEB leaders
· Meet advisory teachers and get lockers

**A small snack will be served (a granola bar or apple).  For special dietary restrictions, please bring own snack.

Madison will have a family open house a few weeks after school begins.  For this September 4th orientation, families will need to arrange their own transportation.

From the Madison Welcome Letter:

The transition to middle school is an important one.  We have a special event planned for all our new sixth grade students including a welcome assembly, school tour, small team building groups with their year-long WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) leaders, introductions to advisory teachers and individual locker assignments.  This event is for students only.  Parents and guardians may drop off students at the gym in the south parking lot.

If 6th grade students are unable to join us for orientation on Tuesday, schedules and lockers will be distributed and assigned in the morning on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 5, in the library beginning at 8:25am.
