FAQs

What are the benefits of being a member of PTSA?
Did you know PTSA members can get special savings and discounts?  Check out the national PTA website for more information. You’ll need your PTSA membership number, available upon request by emailing membership@madisonptsa.com.

What do my PTSA fees cover?
The fee for 2016-17 is $12 for an individual or $22 for two individuals from the same household. Students at Madison are automatically members of the PTSA, but without voting rights. The fee primarily covers the cost of individual registration with city, state and federal PTSA organizations. State dues contribute to the lobbying and advocacy work that is done at the state level in Olympia. PTSA membership is not a fundraiser for the PTSA.

How do I become a member of the PTSA?
It’s simple! Just complete the form on our “Join the PTSA…” page, then pay your membership fees via credit card or paypal and you will be all set!

If you would rather pay your membership by check, you can download the membership registration form here and send it back, along with your payment, to Madison Middle School PTSA, 3429 45th Avenue SW, Seattle, WA 98116.

It is our goal to have 100% participation by making membership available to anyone wishing to join. If you need assistance and would like your membership fee waived, please indicate a scholarship need to membership@madisonptsa.com.

Are the PTSA financial reports available for review?
Yes, PTSA members may request to see the financial and audit reports and meeting minutes. They are also available at each PTSA General meeting.
