2018 Thanksgiving Food Drive

Help Madison Families – November 5th – 15th

It’s that time of year again to kick-off the 2018 Thanksgiving Food Drive with the Science Classroom Food Competition.  In years past our school has donated and delivered over 3,600 pounds of food to Madison families. Some families also received gift cards to shop at local grocery stores, thanks to the monetary and canned food contributions from Madison Middle School staff and families.  Together we can meet our goal of helping 16-18 Madison families have a better Thanksgiving.

6th, 7th & 8th grades please donate canned vegetables/fruit/soup, apple sauce, pasta & pasta sauce, chili & beans (dried or canned).  These are suggestions– any canned food is appreciated.

**If pulling from your pantry. Please be sure that canned foods are not damaged and their shelf life has not expired. We did have to dispose of a lot of canned and pasta goods last year.  Thank You

Please have your student(s) drop off canned goods to their science teacher’s classrooms during the food drive dates.  The competition is based on weight and the winning class will be announced on Monday, November 19th and given much praise for doing service to our community. They will also receive the coveted “Turkey Cup” trophy to display in class for the year.

** Any excess donations that don’t go to Madison families will go to our West Seattle Food Bank

Thank You for your support. Any questions feel free to email me directly-
